What should I expect at my first appointment?
On attending your first sports injury appointment, you should expect a 45 minute to 1hr session whereby a detailed history of your injury/ problem, health questionnaire and thorough assessment will be completed and appropriate treatment plan discussed. Follow up treatments will be 30-40 minutes.
Why attend a Sports Injury Clinic?
Back on Track (Sports Injuries Clinic) is aware that injuries are not always from a sporting nature and is happy to help with those aches and pains from work or home. If your therapist feels your injury is more suited to another health professional, i.e. podiatrist, osteopath, physiotherapist, general practitioner or orthopaedic consultant they will refer on.
What should i wear?
Please wear loose clothing, not jeans if possible. It is often helpful if the area needing treatment is revealed. Back on Track always uses towel techniques for your privacy and reassurance. Often it is necessary your walking and running gait be examined and/ or active strength testing for deficits and active functional tests carried out.
What should I bring?
Please bring any items you think to be beneficial- i.e. used running shoes, tennis racket, training programs etc.
How do I pay?
Please pay by cheque or cash. At present Back on Track does not operate card machines.
