Who are the Sports Therapists at Back on Track?

Mrs Joanna Leigh (Ponting). Registered Sports Therapist.

An avid outdoor enthusiast, Jo gained an interest in sports injury from first hand experience finding herself at the mercy of physiotherapists whilst competing at international mountain biking events from 1997- 2003, representing Great Britain and the top teams in mountain biking. Jo understands that people want to fixed and back in training, ready for an event yesterday!

Wanting to learn more and specialise in sports injuries, Jo undertook and gained a BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy in 2004 whilst enjoying playing high level (BUSA) university volleyball.

Starting Back on Track in 2004 with a patient list of zero from the Andover Leisure Centre, Back on Track now operates from clinics at Andover Leisure Centre and Andover Down Farm. Jo particularly enjoys rehabilitation of sports injuries, particularly post operative knee and shoulders injuries. Jo is a fully registered member of the Society of Sports Therapists.

Joe Allnut. Registered Sports Therapist

Joe has a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Therapy gained in 2004 at Chichester University where he also gained a diploma in Sports Therapy. He worked with a number of the highly competitive university sports teams before returning to his hometown of Basingstoke. He is fully registered with the Society of Sports Therapists www.society-of-sports-therapists.org. The Society of Sports Therapists is the main governing body for Sports Therapy in the United Kingdom and ensures the title of ‘Sports Therapist’ is only used by fully qualified and recognised practitioners.
