What is a Sports Therapist?
A Sports Therapist practitioner is able to:
- Provide first aid treatment, and attend to injuries in a recreational, training or competitive environment.
- Assess and evaluate injury and where appropriate refer on for private orthopaedic advice and intervention or NHS referral.
- Provide a variety of specific treatments and rehabilitation programmes.
- Utilise 45 minute sessions focused on treating and rehabilitating your injury ….to get you ‘Back On Track’
How Do I Choose A Sports Therapist?
When looking to recover from an injury you should use a creditable sports therapist who is registered with the Society of Sports Therapists and has a degree in Sports Therapy. Ask to see a copy of the membership certificate and relevant qualifications.
